sign-upWhen I first started working out with Jason he helped me recover from the oversized body I had created during an extremely enjoyable trip to Italy. Following his instructions (diet especially), I quickly dropped weight from the trip (6 pounds the first week!) . But I soon learned that I had also returned from Italy with another souvenir- I was pregnant! I continued to work out with Jason during the first 6 months of my pregnancy, which helped me get stronger for labor (which I did naturally) and also retain some sense of myself while I endured the astonishing enlargement of my body. At six weeks post partum, I returned to work out with Jason, weighing at this time about 15 pounds over my best shape body weight, and my body was very mushy. In the months that followed Jason helped me be on a healthy, breast-feeding friendly diet, that enabled me to take off the weight and get in shape.

I’ve always thought I looked good but not as great as I could.  My clothes were starting not to fit the way I wanted them to, and I was flabby with summertime right around the corner. 

 Six weeks ago I signed up for Boot Camp and what a difference.  I look great!  My friends are all commenting on how thin and toned I’ve become so quickly. Not only do I look good and have more energy than ever, I am having fun.  Every session is different, & keeps the workouts motivating. I especially love the boxing, great cardio while learning something new.  It’s also nice that most of the boot camp training is done outside.  I had never been able to stick to a workout regimen before, & now I look forward to exercising.

My trainer is the greatest and knows just how to get the best out of me. Boot Camp has become more than just working out for me, it’s created a lifestyle change. I've done several "other" boot camps with minimal results but the first week I started Mr. America's SMBC I saw quality results.  Ruben runs the boot camps that I go to and he is hands down the best at motivating you and coaching people of all levels of fitness.  The routines never get boring each day is different Ruben is not one of those "Drill Sergeants" that stands around and just tells you what to do, he actually does each boot camp with you which helps you learn proper form and encourages you. When I started doing the boot camps in February I weighed over 240 lbs I am now at 219 lbs. I'm so pleased with the results that I just started doing one on one personal training sessions to further sculpt my body and will post more photos when I have reached my goal of 185 lbs.

This workout has been awesome. Initially, I signed up to get in shape for my wedding, but this has become a new lifestyle for me. Ruben is a great trainer and an even better person. I finally have motivation and accountability to stay in shape and feel GOOD about myself. The stairs are not as scary as they sound and the boxing class is super fun and gives me tons of confidence. Saturday mornings at the beach are great - so much better than being stuck inside a gym. Great people, great workout, reasonable price. I am a happy customer. : )

Really love the boot camp and Ruben is awesome! Feel great too. I've dropped about 20lbs since I started the classes and almost 3 pant sizes and can feel a considerable difference in my level of strength - especially Tue mornings when i play ice hockey...I get so much more out of it now, like I used to when I was younger - which in turn makes it more fun.

I travel a lot for work and its always been tough for me to be consistent but I've found I'm able to try and replicate some of the workouts Ruben puts us through while I'm on the road - much more fun than running on a treadmill in a hotel gym staring at a wall :)

I signed up for the 8 Week Intensive Fat Loss Bootcamp program. I have to tell you the results I experienced are by far the best I have achieved in comparison with weight loss attempts and diet plans I have tried in the past. I lost an average of 2-3 pounds  per week  (20 lbs total)  over the course of program, which is a healthy weight loss rate, and have noticeably increased my cardio capacity and energy level. Having the personal touch and weekly accountability, in both diet and exercise, is something you won’t get from trying to follow diet programs from books---which are the diet programs I’ve attempted to do in the past. If you follow Jason’s Fat Loss Bootcamp program exactly as it is laid out, you will definitely achieve results. It won’t be easy in the beginning, but it gets easier as you go along, and eventually it becomes more a part of your daily routine.  If you are serious about finally losing weight, I highly recommend the 8 Week Fat Loss program as an outstanding way to get you started.

Q: What's the difference between Mr. America's Santa Monica Boot Camp and what other trainers and boot camps provide? 

A: Santa Monica Boot Camp Workouts are different each time.  Each workout is designed around a specific activity at a different Santa Monica location.   Some days feature stair running, some boxing, some plyometrics and bodyweight suspension TRX workouts, etc.
